Miracles DO Still Happen!

Modern day miracles happen. I've heard this, but not experienced it in my life yet. Until this week, when I witnessed God's hand in Christian's life. Until I witnessed a man, who wasn't expected to make it through his first night, now 6 days later, laughing, talking, joking. Eating, breathing, drinking. Making demands and begging to know when he can get back to the gym with us all.

Christian still has a long road of recovery ahead of him. His repeat CT scan showed no new findings, only resolving traces of the hemorrhage. He still has very little movement on the left side of his body, but that will come with time and physical therapy, hopefully. His doctor's immediate concerns were that he not have any blood clots form in the veins/arteries on the left side of his body (the left side of his body is weak because his bleed was in the right hemisphere of his brain). He had a Greenfield Filter placed into a large vein via his left groin area, which will act as a tiny umbrella to catch any clots that may form and dislodge, causing a pulmonary embolism.

He will be moving from the ICU later today into the PCU (Progressive Care Unit) as long as he continued to improve and stay stable throughout the night last night. Please pray for Christian's continuing healing. His immediate needs are for the pain and frustrations of physical therapy to be lulled and for him to find comfort in those difficult moments. He has also had a fever off and on, which is common in bed ridden patients, so we ask for prayers that his fevers will subside and that his doctor is able to treat them adequately.

Thank you to all who have checked in to get an update on Christian, and especially to those who are saying prayers for him & his family. We are so thankful to have a God who is a Healer, Provider and Conquerer.
