12w1d - Helllllo Second Trimester!

How far along?  12 weeks, 1 day

Total weight gain/loss? 3lbs

Maternity clothes?  Mix of maternity & regular.

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep?  Great! I purchased a body pillow. Best. Purchase. Ever.

Best moment last week? Lunch with girlfriends I haven't seen for a few months & having them swoon over my little bump.

Movement?  Not yet. Looking forward to this, though!

Food cravings? Nope.

Gender? We won't find out until birth day...but this week, I'm back to feeling girl!

Labor signs? Ha. Not even close.

Belly button in/out? In, but it's a shallow little button these days.

What I miss: Being able to eat as much as I used to in one sitting, without feeling stuffed. I've moved on to much smaller portion sizes, more frequently throughout the day.

What I am looking forward to: Our 2nd wedding anniversary on Monday!

Milestones: I made it out of the first trimester in one piece...and I'm feeling 100% back to "me" again. Mr. Lukie even commented yesterday that he was so happy to see his wife back, after a 3 month hiatus. Poor guy, he's such a great sport about it all, though.

**Quick fun fact: We had our 2nd midwife appointment today. The heartbeat at 7w6d was 170, and the heartbeat today, at 12w1d, was 140. And I'm also measuring ahead 1 week, for now, which is where I thought I was all along, anyway. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out over the next several weeks.
Also, from BabyCenter.com:
The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.
Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.
