14w1d - Feeling (but not looking) Bigger

(Sorry for the head crop--you're thankful for this & didn't even realize it. Trust me!)

How far along?  14 weeks, 1 day

Total weight gain/loss? +3lbs

Maternity clothes?  Mix of maternity & regular. But, mostly yoga pants & t shirts.

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep?  Great! Still having crazy dreams, though.

Best moment last week? Being told that we were getting a very nice tax refund from both Federal & State for 2010. Normally, we don't celebrate tax refunds (to us, this means we 'loaned' interest-free money to the government...a Dave Ramsey no-no!), but it was due to Mr. Lukie making significantly less money in 2010 than he did in 2009 (thank you, abundance of overtime in 2009!)

Movement?  Not yet.
Symptoms?  Some lower back pain if I stand for too long, and definitely started feeling some round ligament pain down...there.

Food cravings? None.

Gender? We won't find out until birth day...but I'm feeling girl.

Labor signs? Ha. Not even close.

Belly button in/out? In. I took my belly ring out this week--it was barely hanging on, as there's not much "belly button" left to cling to these days!

What I miss: Had a "girls night" on Sunday. It was the first time that I felt slightly resentful that they were all sharing a bottle of wine in front of me & I wasn't able to partake.

What I am looking forward to: Celebrating my BFF's 29th birthday on Saturday night. Her due date is 10 days after mine, which is a lot of fun! As you can imagine, we won't be getting crazy for her birthday ;)

Milestones: Reaching the second trimester (again-ish? LOL...depending on the source, I suppose).

From BabyCenter:
This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.
In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.
